Phase 3 & 4 of Digital Narrative Game…

PHASE 3
Working in a group of three, Marianna, Jana and I, decided collectively to explore the topic ‘Emotional Intelligence’ and how we can help make individuals more aware of its strengths and effects on themselves and community.
We used AI to help generate ideas but I had the series ‘Black Mirror’, in the back of my mind when planning. It inspired me to make the narrative game futuristic. The British TV series is driven by the thoughts of where the future of technology could lead the world; having it as a theme would aslo emphasize the effects of emotional intelligence.

PHASE 4:

Digital Narrative Game: MindFulMaze
The game is built on three story lines, each person in the group built a storyline based on the games theme – futuristic city.

The initial prompt we adapted from:

The game then adapted from the storyline and each person gave their own personal touch to the characters involved. Due to the essence of time, we weren’t able to create graphics in time for submission but it was in our plan to do so. The aim of each scenario is to have the players understand the emotional impact of their decisions. Making their options as realistic as possible to the present future, and relatable to real life scenarios.
